Paying Online for Counselling.
How to Pay for a Counselling Session.
Options for paying your fee include:-
- IN PERSON: by cash, credit/debit card, Apple Pay / Google Pay or cheque [made out to Dean Richardson].
- ONLINE: credit/debit card, bank transfer (either using your Banking App or your bank’s website) or PayPal (using the form on this page).
There are no card surcharges for paying by card, Contactless, Apple Pay / Google Pay nor PayPal.
First Session Deposits.
When setting up our first appointment, I’ll ask you to send a £30 deposit. This confirms your intention to attend a first session.
Your deposit comes off your first session fee, the remainder of which is payable on the day of the appointment. For example:-
- The session fee is £55.00.
- You pay a deposit of £30.00.
- £25.00 remains to be paid on the day of the session
A deposit is only required for the first session. Subsequent sessions are paid for in full on the day of the session (there is no deposit).
Refunding Deposits.
If you cancel our first appointment with a minimum of 48 hours notice, I will refund your £30 deposit.
If you cancel our first appointment with fewer than 48 hours notice (or don’t appear for the appointment), your deposit will fund my losses in preparing for the session.
Direct PayPal.
Click https://www.paypal.me/RichardsonCounsellor if the payment form does not work in your browser.
Paying by Banking App:
If you’d prefer to pay using your banking app, ask Dean for his sort code, account number and reference code during your first session.

Apple & Google Pay have no maximum per-transaction limit, but Apple may not support a payment greater than £45, and Google Pay may require you to enter your pin for a payment greater than £45.
Bank Transfers & Faster BACS Payments.
BACS payments are payments made from your bank account to another person's bank account. There's no fees for BACS payments. You can use your SmartPhone's banking app to set up and make payments. You may ask for my bank details at any time.
Optionally, if you have your own PayPal account, you may use the payment form (above) to begin a PayPal payment and select your bank account to make a transfer.
